Details of Lo's life and his arrival on the North Western Railway in 2005 are mostly undocumented and it is unknown exactly how he turned up on Sodor.

Lo is based on the LMS fowler 3f tank engine which were nicknamed Jinys. Brian, Larisa, Lydia and Owain are also based on this class of engine.
Livery[]
Lo is painted in a plain black livery with his number in yellow but sometimes portrayed as red.

- When depicted in trainz he is a 2006 Oliver reskin with Thomas' bogey reskinned or wildnorwester's jinty model with Darthassassin's Percy facepack or the Paul Hobbs Jinty with a face mesh.
- He developed his drug addiction while on his old heritage railway when he gained access to some illegal substance.
- Used to be an E2 but was changed into a Jinty
